Many people wonder what in the world McCain was thinking with his choice as VP. They are stumped as to why he would choose a young, well-spoken and energetic female as a running mate. She is a Washington outsider, with no experience in foreign policy or domestic policy for cying out loud they say. Why did he choose her? Are you really asking that?
It is pretty simple my friends. McCain is trying to get elected President of the United States. He sees a young, well-spoken energetic Democratic candidate get a lot of attention from young voters. He sees that people are all over the Washington outsider message of "change"...so you add it all up and this is what you get...
Inexperience + Washington outsider + young person + well-spoken + promise of change = what people want to hear. So guess what? McCain is smart enough to use this little formula for himself. That speaks volumes actually...he is willing to change his tactics in order to take advantage of the very embryonic political knowledge of most Americans, just like Obama. Pretty impressive in my book.
